After 31 years in business and working with a multitude of different clients we have developed a "New School" philosophy. We realize all our clients have different wants, needs and financial resources. We can recommend how you should approach your new project, regardless of how small or large the project is.

Budget must be one of the most important parts of your job. Finding the right contractor is just as important. The right contractor should know all about your budget and should be able to work with you in achieving your dream with your budget in mind. This doesn't mean cutting corners, using inadequate or inferior materials and supplies, or using low-end sub-contractors.

Once that next to impossible task is over, you have to go out and get three bids on your project. Keep in mind that the Contractors that are bidding your project (you know, the one that will actually do the work) have their own advice on how things should be done. This step can be frustrating to you as well. Each Contractor has his own sub-contractors that he works with, which all have different overhead and expenses. That's one reason why the bids are difference, when bidding on the same plans.

And on top of that, if the Contractor see something that isn't right, he/she will most of the time keep it to themselves. This allows them to charge you an extra, or leave things out of their bids, to keep theirs the lowest, and then charge you extra. By the time you go through this part of your project, most consumers are exhausted, and have a bad taste about even going forward.

We feel that the consumers should have an easier way of achieving their dream. We believe you should interview as many as contractors that you would like. What you're looking for first, is contractor that is licensed with the state of Nevada and in good standing. They have their workman insured, They carry General Liability Insurance.

Next, he/she should be a good listener. They hear what you're asking for and trying to achieve. The best choice is a full service "Design-Build" contractor. This allows the contractor to put together a team that will help you reach your goal in a timely, comfortable and cost effective manner. Keep in mind the contractor, and his team, are going to be part of your family for the next few days to months base on your project size. It's important that YOU feel very comfortable with them.

The contractor should be able to offer you service after the job is complete. This applies to his/her sub-contractors as well. The team will keep the job clean, be aware of your needs and able to work along side each other to complete your project on time and on budget. They will walk and talk with you on every step of the project so you know what is happening.
